Hello lovelies!
I'm so excited to show you these nails! They are kinda retro funky and they are also my Beach Towel manicure for the Summer Challenge. I really loved them on me so I wore them for four days and skipped on swatching :D I created a tutorial as well so you can give it a try! I'd love to see your recreations so feel free to share it on FB or let me know in the comments :)
For this manicure I've used Essie No More Film as a base colour, OPI Fly and China Glaze Sweet Hook for the side colours and dots.
You like? I did! :D
Wow!

ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for commenting :) I paint always just one nail and then remove the tape immediately. That helps to the edges be more precise x

DeleteThis rocks like CRAZY. Excellent job!! :)
ReplyDeletehaha thank you :))
DeleteWhat kind of tape do you use? Regular clear tape doesn't work for me. Do you use masking tape
ReplyDeleteI use the masking (paper/painter's) tape. craft scissors don't work with regular/plastic tape :-/
DeleteLove this one. Very whimsical.
ReplyDeleteThis looks insane! Definitely going to try it soon... might try freehanding instead of tape though, cutting it looks like a pain!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely do! I actually cut the tape with craft scissors that are already in wave shape so cutting was fast and easy. you can buy then on Ebay or in craft shops :)
DeleteLoved the design!
ReplyDeleteI will try this one for sure!!!:)

Deletesuper cool! love it!
ReplyDeleteWow this is amazing and awesome and I love it!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. There's something I love so much about the colour combo!
ReplyDeleteWow, pretty and awesome as always!
ReplyDeleteHow long does a manicure like this take? Usually I'm doing rather simple manicures and I already feel like I'm waiting for hours until everything is dry and touch-safe. ;)
@Juju Thank you very much :) Well this one takes under an hour because I did have to wait about 10 minutes before I could apply the tape. I always apply base colour, then Seche Vite or other Fast drying topcoat and then it takes just 10 mins for it to dry enough for tape. Hope this helps
ReplyDeleteThis so awesome! Thanks for the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteHello... i tried this tutorial but i cant sucess... can you help me ? I really love this design...
ReplyDeleteHi Nickie, can you tell me what is going wrong? What part?
