Hello lovelies,
A while ago I've tried one-stroke nail art for the first time so this is my first stab at it. I still can't do nice leaves so it's just poppies :)
The pistachio green base colour is Zoya Tracie and poppies are painted with acrylic paint. I like the result very much but I think I still don't have the right brushes. If you do one-stroke on your nails and have great brushes then please give me some advice as to where to buy 'the good ones'.
I still have to practice a lot before I'll be any good but it's a start... hat down for you ladies who create beautiful one-stroke manicures, it's not that easy!
I think these look FAB for a first try! If only my first one was as beautiful as yours :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sharon! <3
DeleteWow, this manicure is fabulous, I love those delicate poppies. Seeing your nails I realized that I have to practice with the one stroke technique! :)

DeleteThey're gorgeous! Have you found any good tutorials? My attempts are still miserable.
ReplyDeleteI've seen few but most of them on a paper with big brushes :( I'm just trying myself different techniques. There are some videos on YT but not many of the good ones.
DeleteThis is completely beautiful, I love it. One stroke is something I'm yet to try x
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Alexis :)
Deleteit's beautiful! I've been dying to try one stroke designs for quite a long time now but I also don't have the adequate brush to do it..
ReplyDeleteThank you <3 I think brushes are the most important part and then the paint. that's also important. There's not many pointers on YT or webs, I haven't found many :(
DeleteI really like your poppies!! I always wanted to try the one stroke technique but I am hesitant whether on how it would turn out :(
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you so much!
DeleteSo pretty! Super great job for your first one-stroke mani! Need to try!

ReplyDeleteIt looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a tutorial too! I am not familiar with the term "one stroke" but I absolutely love your poppies!
ReplyDeleteNot sure anyone is allowed to do tutorials on One-Stroke but for the owner of the company, Donna Dewberry. There are officially licensed instructors and they can teach One-stroke classes but even they were not allowed to do videos. Not sure where it stands now...off to Youtube to see if it's there - pretty much everything is.
DeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should make a tutorial? :)
This design is absolutely amazing, i love poppies so much! Your pictures are always stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant! I'd love to know more about this technique if you could do a tutorial for us?
ReplyDeleteWow! This is gorgeous!! I have to say, I'm not quite sure what a one stroke mani is though, lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about women?! These look bloody stunning! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I would love to try this. I've done one stroke painting on paper, but nails? I'd need the great brushes too!
ReplyDeleteLove the poppies. You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteOMG, it's so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the combo of colors here...I used to do One-Stroke acrylic painting from Donna Dewberry in the 90's - spent a ton of buying her kits and instruction books. Once nail art hit big, I started to think her petite flowers would translate well to the nail. It's all in loading the brush and a getting a few little techniques down...really anyone who thinks they are not artistic can do it with a tiny bit of practice and be successful.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.hofcraft.com/one-stroke-brush.html That's the link for the official One-Stroke brushes. They used to offer a mini brush set to do all the mini flowers which would work well for nails...I have the mini flower instruction book. Her stuff hit really hard in the late 80's through 90's with all the folk art/country French being popular. I always found One Stroke to be lots easier than tole painting.
ReplyDeleteYour nails are gorgeous. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWooooah, gorgeous! They look very very pretty ♥.
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely. I have tried doing the one stroke technique on my nails before, but had no luck with it. I'm sure my brushes and lack of skill were the problem. :O)
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful! Poppies are one of my favorite flowers for the visual punch they have and you've recreated them so wonderfully here. Fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, they look amazing!!! Very, very pretty - good job :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers! Love the manicure :)
ReplyDeleteI love it =)
ReplyDeleteHow come! This nail art is perfect and matched perfectly with this shade of green. Really gorgeous!
