Hello lovelies,
I'm so excited to finally show you these pictures! I got inspired by a beautiful gold necklace you'll see a bit later in the pics. I must admit, I LOVED this manicure on me! But what I loved even more are the pictures and how they came out. Obviously I applied a filter on them but I think it fits!
For this manicure I've used OPI Alpine Snow, A England Camelot, gold foil (from Rio Beauty), black striping tape. I've also used a dotting tool and foil glue. I did not use topcoat to seal the manicure. Topcoat would crinkle the foil which I didn't want.
I've created a tutorial so you can all try this look. If you'll recreate please credit back to me :)
This is amazing beyond words!! It's just WOW! :)

ReplyDeleteYou got me all excited for joy. I love it Lucy. The last pics are amazing! How long did it last since you didn't use topcoat?
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda, sorry for the late answer. I wore this mani about a day and I started to see minor scratched on the foil. Then I took it off to do a different mani :) If you'll ever find a topcoat that does not crinckle foils let me know! I've tried 10 and all crinckled :(
DeleteI wonder would elmers glue work since it dries clear then apply regular topcoat. Just a suggestion.
DeleteIt might be worth trying but I don't have Elmer's glue :( It seems to be an US brand
DeleteHi Lucy, I know it's been a while since you posted this, but if you haven't already found a foil topcoat - an Australian blogger (More Nail Polish) does HEAPS of foil manicures and she swears by using piCture pOlish 'Revolution' as a top coat (it's actually their glitter basecoat, but apparently is also great with foils).

I hope you don't mind me putting the link in, I just wanted to show you what I'm talking about :)
Hi Megan Lily, thank you very much, I'll check it out. I've actually found a good topcoat that doesn't crinkle the foil. I'm testing it now but it's not on sale yet.
DeleteAWESOME!!

ReplyDeleteLOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteWell ... I have used Out The Door when I do my foils.. Never had issues with wringling, but it is sometimes not the best of friends to have when you are doing nailart, like those little dotticures. Works well with some, but not all...
