Hello lovelies,
As you may know, A England has introduced some new shades apart from the recent Burne-Jones Dream collection. I'll show you one of them today. I'm talking about revamped version of Excalibur! I personally love the original metallic silver Excalibur, it is my favourite silver so I'm sad to see it going. The new one is also beautiful though...
Excalibur (revamped) - golden silver foil with coppery gold flakes. This colour is very hard to describe because it's not pure silver or pure gold but kind of a mix of both. The formula is excellent like with all other A England shades. It applied very well and two coats were enough for full coverage. There were no streaks despite the foil finish.
I've done a comparison for you of both A England Excaliburs and shades close to them. Btw would you like to see more comparison pictures like the one below?
And I've also done some doodling over Excalibur using Barry M Nail Art Pen Black :)

i love it, but i never understood why they change a polish soooo much, and leave the same name. why not just add another polish ?
ReplyDeleteI get what you mean. This is in fact only second revamped shade after Holy Grail. My guess is that they just weren't sold as much
DeleteI would've said in that case that they discontinue the original and bring out the new version as an entirely new thing. But hey, that's just me.
DeleteLoving the design work!
I would like the same thing rather than having the confusion over new and old version
DeleteThe polish looks very unique and interesing!
ReplyDeleteWait, I take that back. Just saw the swatches of the new China Glaze collection, right after I read this post here.
ReplyDeleteCheck out CG Gossip Over Gimlets, they could be quiet similar..
Nevertheless, I never saw a polish like this before, maybe the flecks are a new trend coming up ..
oh yeah they look quite similar. Well I know I won't be needing the CG then :D
DeleteThis is really lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThis design is so great!
ReplyDeleteI lovelovelove the old Excalibur. The new one is very similar to Wetn Wild´s Going Platinum

it is similar shade but I can see some differences :)
DeleteSuper pretty~!
ReplyDeleteMuch prefer this version to the original.
ReplyDeleteLovely! The nail art is great too :D
ReplyDeleteProbably the first polish of A-England that I don't like at all ... Let's hope its the last one as well :)
ReplyDeleteSweet nail art though :) Love it!
I SO want a nail art pen now <3
ReplyDeleteI like the new one better...more individual and super pretty! Although it's super similar to the OPI
The new one is more unique but the original appeals to me more. I don't like it when colors reuse names, though. If you want it to replace the original pay homage to the name with something like "Shining Excalibur" or "Excalibur's Edge". =)
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of finish, so I'm all over the new version of Excalubir! :33
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I want some now :)
