Nicole By OPI Mer-Maid For Each Other - Review and swatches

Hello lovelies,

Hope you're all well! It's very cold, rainy and windy here in UK but at least it's not snowing...  today I have here a Nicole By OPI Mer-Maid For Each Other which is one of the Target exclusives for this Fall. It's available now for $7.04 each at select Target locations nationwide and online at Target.com

Mer-Maid For Each Other - duochrome green shifting to golden-green and blue. I really like duochrome polishes and this one is not an exception. The colour change is bold enough which makes the polish interesting. Application was easy but I did experience streaks. I had to paint carefully to get a reasonably nice finish. The strong streaking ruined the whole experience for me a bit but if you can get over it you'll have a lovely polish. The pigmentation was really good as well, I'm wearing two coats. It dried fast and the removal was easy and I'm not wearing topcoat.

  2. So pretty. To bad about the brush strokes. I want to try the method to pat on the last coat with a makeup sponge to elevate the brush strokes but the only thing you have to make sure it's dry before doing it.

  6. Very pretty. Shame about the streaks. I can't remember, do you typically use a base coat? If so, which one?

    1. I always use basecoat. I usually use OPI Natural Nail. If I suspect that the polish might stain my nails I use OPI ridge filler base coat. I sometimes use Barielle and other strenghtening basecoats as well to help my nails grow :)
