Hello lovelies,
I've got here the whole SpaRitual Reflect Collection to review! This collection has been released earlier this year for the Summer 2013 season. At first glance the colour seem rather for Autumn/Fall rather than for Summer.
From SpaRitual press release: "Bask in the warmth of SpaRitual Summer 2013 collection, Reflect. Catch the radiant jewel-tones of late afternoon and the last shimmers of water and sky at sunset. Each of the SpaRitual Nail Lacquers – Reflect Collection is infused with Bamboo. This Bamboo is sustainably gathered from India and islands of the Pacific Ocean, Bamboo is known to absorb water and oil from the nail bed increasing the thickness of the nail for up to 35% stronger nails."
Freedom - brownish purple with fuchsia and blue particles. The formula of the polish was quite thick so I've had to apply thicker coats to avoid patching. Two coats provided full coverage but dried rather average. The finish was satin so you will need layer of topcoat if you want a glossy finish. Removal of the polish was ok but the blue and fuchsia particles were causing problems, sticking to skin.
Inner Beauty - multichrome foil with colour ranging from brown-green to pink. The multichrome effect is much stronger in the bottle and does not translate on the nail very much. It applied well and dried fast. I'm wearing two coats.
Joy - beige creme with pale gold glass flecks. This colour doesn't stand out for me at all even though it quite matched my skin tone. The formula was good - it applied well and dried quite fast. I needed two thicker coats for full coverage.
Innocence - beige creme. This shade is pretty for office friendly or mannequin hands. The formula was on the thicker side and quite hard to work with. It dries fast which in some cases caused patching. I've had to apply thicker coats for nail polish to look nice.
Kindness -burnt orange creme with gold particles. I'd wear this nail polish in Autumn or around Halloween. The formula was very nice - it applied easily and the pigmentation is great. I'm wearing two regular coats but it was almost one coater. I've had some issues when removing the polish as the gold particles seemed to stick to my nail and skin, really hard to get rid off.
Positive Vibe - mustard yellow creme. Ummm...not a colour I would pick out of the rack and it is more suitable for Autumn I'd think. However the formula is very nice. It applied easily, two coats were enough for full coverage and they dried fast.
This collection was somehow disappointing. I would like to see totally different colours, more cheerful and bright. The formulas differed polish from polish which I'm not a big fan either. Some of the shades like Kindness, Freedom and Inner Beauty appealed to me much more than the rest.
I've seen some upcoming SpaRitual collections containing glitters and some bright colours so I'm very much looking forward to them!

Inner Beauty is the only color i like - its pretty nice.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany! :)
Freedom and Joy... amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love every colour, especially Kindness! :)
ReplyDeleteI think I like Freedom most. It does not feel like a summer collection.
ReplyDeletePositive Vibe is the only one I liked from this collection.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the swatches!
Have a great weekend :)
I have positive vibe as it is positively beautiful but now you have made it even harder for me to choose me next colour!! :o)
ReplyDeleteIn that first picture these polishes really didn't look appealing to me but once on your nails they look really good! Your pictures are just lovely :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Joy might be quite similar to China Glaze's Fast Track ~(which is one of my all time favourite neutral shades!)As someone who loves neutral, browns, tans, nudes etc I love this collection - shame about the inconsistent formulas though.
ReplyDeleteFreedom and Joy are my favorites! They're gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteKindness is so pretty! Love the amount of shimmer in there <3 Your swatches are gorgeous (:
ReplyDeleteI agree; Spa Ritual has had better collections than this one, MUCH better. I'm going to pick up Freedom; it's beautiful, and I can't say no the purple! I really do like Joy and Innocence, but did they HAVE to include them in the same collection? They're just too similar IMO. Kind of reminds me of OPI a few years ago, when it seemed like they released 3 or 4 similar reds in the same collection...Your swatches (and hands and nails, :) ) are ALL lovely, though.
ReplyDeleteomg are those your real nails???
ReplyDeletetheyre perfect!!
Like a lot of these shades but agree most feel more like fall/winter vs summer shades. I love the orangy rust one and the mustard yellow might even be a yellow I could wear well! I am sort of used to off season release picks on shades in collections from SpaRitual - not sure why they do it but they sure do it a lot ever since they got started as a company.
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty!
ReplyDeleteKindness and Positive Vibe are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like Kindness and Positive Vibe, even though they aren't my usual types of colours to go for. But they look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteNice collection, but I will choose it only in autumn. Too autumn-y for me who is waiting for summer! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not blown away by this collection, I think you are right when you say the shades more suit autumn. The only one that really appeals to me is Kindness. Lovely swatches though, thanks for sharing :).
ReplyDeleteThese are *OK* - they're all colours I'd probably wear but nothing seems very original. And I agree with everyone else; they fell more appropriate for Autumn than Summer.
ReplyDeleteYour swatches are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
DeleteThank you for all the comments lovelies! xoxo
