I'm so excited to show new China Glaze Prismatic polishes! I haven't swatched all of them yet but here is a taster :) I have five out of six colours I bought at the beauty exhibition. I had no idea it is upcoming collection...for some reason I thought it's a year old collection :) Never mind! This collection will be officially available from April.
Something about Prismatic collection: Array your nails in a myriad of color this spring with China Glaze®’s limited edition Prismatic nail polish collection! Inspired by the colors formed by the refraction of light through a prism, Prismatic by China Glaze® combines glitterand holographic particles to create the ultimate eye-catching, 3-dimensional manicure.
Optical Illusion - described as Aqua green glimmers with a hint of purple filled with pink, yellow, silver, orange and green flecks. This glitter is really beautiful, aqua colour based but with tons of other coloured glitter. It applied easily despite it being a glitter but it dried quite slow and a bit gritty. I would expect it to be clumpy with co much glitter in it but it is not at all. Two coats were enough for the coverage, there's plenty of glitter in the polish. I had to use a topcoat (Seche Vite) to make it smooth and shiny and it was worth it!
These are all excellent glitters and I can't wait to show you the rest! Most of them are a bit duochrome(!) on the top of multicoloured glitter!
Direct sunlight
Teaaseerr is riight! i can't wait til the rest. preferably full spectrum.<33
ReplyDeleteI'll try to swatch Full Spectrum for you today :) x
DeleteOmg this color is so beautiful! I think it would be perfect polish to buy as my first bottle of China Glaze (oh, my wallet will starve...) :P
ReplyDeleteCHG is not that expensive so go for it! ;)
Deleteoh it's super pretty! thx for the amazing swatches, we can see all the details!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, I always try to picture the small details especially with glitters :)
DeleteOptical Illusion is really pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThis was my favorite out of the collection. My swatches didn't turn out as good as yours. I didn't like them that much, and I adore anything glittery. I may have to go back and try them again ...
ReplyDeleteWoah - I saw swatches of this somewhere else, but it wasn't as pretty as yours. Yours makes me want it! Can't wait to see the rest. x
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I'm trying to do my best! xx
DeleteLove this one - want all but one of the collection - and this was supposed to be my month to start getting on track budget wise again and no more sprees on polish until I figure out how to host a sale since I don't have a blog. 1500 polishes + is too much to store! I have polishes that are super collectable black labels reaching all the way back to the start of OPI as a company! And that's what has survived previous purges before I discovered blogs and knew there were others out there like me who would LOVE to have some of the lovelies in my stash to help me make room for more! just how to do that without a blog? I don't have time to set it up (techie skills lacking a bit)...and then to get a following and all the time to shoot when I don't have a decent camera. I cannot even get my stuff sold on eBay I want to sell or stuff donated and just out of here! Help!!! I am drowning in stuff!
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit hard without blog and if you don't want Ebay-you can find a beauty community/discussion forum with sale section or www.makeupalley.com, there's huge audience!
DeleteOh and cannot wait to see the rest of your swatches. Does this glitter eat the topper? Do you need to use Gelous before your SV? How many coats till you get to this level of opacity?
ReplyDeleteI've used two coats of polish and one coat of seche and it was fine. I always use thicker coat of seche over glitter so it doesn't sink to the glitter.
Delete:O i wasn't excited about this collection until seeing this post! awesome!
ReplyDeleteI reall like these nails :) Usually gradient nails go the opposite way to this but i actually like this a lot more!
