Fishtail braid nail art manicure with a tutorial!

Hello lovelies!

What a response to yesterday's swatch of Models Own lilac Dream! I would think that it'll be just another ordinary colour but you loved it! Well that's good because I have here a bit of nail art with this colour and also a tutorial of how to create it! I'm not sure whether the 'Fishtail' is the correct name.. what do you think? If this nail art is called differently then let me know and I'll change it. I'm a bit clueless right now :)

Sooo....for this manicure I've used one coat of Models Own Lilac Dream as a base colour, China Glaze Aquadelic and A England Excalibur for the accent nail.

  45. Thank you so much for your wonderful step-by-step tutorials! I did the fish tail on all my nails on Monday & when I went out on Tuesday...everybody flipped over them! I went for a spa-pedi & the lady wanted to know how I did it! This place does all kinds of nail art & she wanted to know about my nails? LOL So I sent her to your blog. She doesn't speak much english, but with your tutorials & her experience, she doesn't need to. Then I went to the beauty supply store & the gals there went nuts over my nails. And so did the pharmacist & the check out clerk & the waitress. Woman, you made me look GOOD! Thanks again, Lucy!

  54. Loved this, Lucy.

So simple and so effective. Really enhances a simply mani with one accent nail. I used this the other day for the first time and got some really lovely comments from people who don't normally notice that kind of thing.

  55. Hi Lucy,

I tried this one last weekend using 3 Barry M polishes. It's my most complicated nail art so far. The tutorial was great - thank you. One hand looked good - a bit wiggly but not bad for my first time! The other hand - hmmm - I think I zigged when I should have zagged :-)

I'll definitely try it again tho'
