Hello lovelies,
so yesterday I've shown you the 'graffiti' style foil nails and I've promised you a tutorial. Today is the second part of the whole mani where I've used tape and craft scissors to enhance the 'industrial' look. I've also created tutorial for this look so if you want to create just the graffiti style nails follow steps 1-5.
So here is the complete look:
Oh my god this is just incredible! I am in awe of your nails skills hun! Cone do my nails for me pretty pleeeeeeeeeeease! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove Aysh xoxo
Aww, thank you :) If you'd live near by I wouldn't mind ;)
DeleteD O K O N A L É ! Líbí se mi to moc, takže děkuji za návod ;)
ReplyDeleteDekuju moc!
DeleteThis is awesome!
ReplyDeletelove that you did a tutorial, I love these!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! How does the foil work? Does it just come off on the nail where the glue is? I have tried doing the craft scissors before also but have found that they don't cut the tape....I guess you have to use masking tape :) Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Yes, the foil sticks to the place where the glue is so you can also create patterns etc. I have to use paper masking tape for craft scissors as they don't cut the normal tape properly :-/
DeleteWow! Just... wow! This is amazingly beautiful and soooo creative!
ReplyDeleteThese look fantastic! Thank you for doing a tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI have loads of those craft scissors knocking about, never even thought to use them for tape manis before, definitely going to give it a try now. I'll be sure to link back to you when I do.
Beautiful!
xoxo
Thank you :) Hope you'll share your tape manis ;) Don't forget to use masking tape rather than plastic tape as craft scissors don't cut plastic tape properly ;)
DeleteThis is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the foil technique! Where do you buy the foil & glue from? xx
ReplyDeletejensbrightandbeautiful.blogspot.com
Hi Jen, I use The Best Glue Ever and Mylar foil. Both bought on Ebay. They are available in stores in US but I'm in UK so had to use Ebay :)
DeleteOne more thing - could you please not use links in your comment? It is not a good practice and I will be deleting comments with links in the future and really don't want to delete yours too. Thank you very much! x
Is this a special type of foil? I would love to try this out, but I'm not sure what to use!
ReplyDeleteIt is called Mylar foil. I know it can be purchased on Ebay, Dollartree and nail supply shops etc..

ReplyDeleteThank you! I use The Best Glue Ever

ReplyDeleteOh wow Stacy, such a big compliment! Thank you!!! x
DeleteReally need some foil now!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteDo you have the brand name for the paper tape that you use? I've bought "paper masking tape", but it doesn't look nearly as papery as yours or as transparent. The tape you use looks a lot like medical tape actually.
My craft scissors are still not cutting my tape properly! AAAHHH
Hi, I really have no idea what brand the tape is, I got is ages ago from mum. Sometime other bloggers use blue paper masking tape and it looks like it works as well. I'm sorry I can't help you any more than this.
