Gradient nail art comparing the two versions of A England Holy Grail

Hello lovelies,

I've reviewed the new Holy Grail and today I'll show you the old and new version together. I've created a gradient using the two Holy Grail shades so you can nicely see the difference between them. I'm glad I've purchased the original one as I find it to be quite unique shade to my stash. Which one is your favourite?

  1. Love them both - but the new shade is really a great color for my collection :)

  2. Beautiful nails, Lucy! The difference is pretty dramatic, but they suit each other so well--I'd have a hard time choosing which I like better because they're both just gorgeous. =)

  6. Before seeing your nail art I could have said that I like the darker shade more(don't know, actually, if it's the old or the new one), but after seeing the two colors together, I find amazing how they are complimentary and they enhance each other, so, now I think they're both irrenounceable!
You are a nail art genius, by the way :)

    1. Thank you Francesca. I thought I would skip normal comparison and do them in a gradient, glad you like it :)

  7. They look really good together! Unfortunately I think I am a bigger fan of the older version, but I think I may be one of the only people who think that. My bottle is already half gone :O I think I need to buy a backup before its gone forever!

  9. Bought the old color when they said it was being discontinued and I am so glad I did. The new color is very beautiful but not as vivid a color. Wearing them together sure was a great way to showcase the differences!

  11. I like them together on this gradient - good idea. I thought it was odd they did new versions of a couple colors but kept the names the same - that always is cause for confusion when someone thinks of a shade, has no idea there has been a color change, orders and finds what they get is not what they thought they were getting...it's just something I don't think ever should be done in polish retailing. I am as opposed to this as I am the re-promote under a new name.

    1. It is a bit confusing I agree. it would be better if it would be called differently and therefore a completely new shade but hey, it's a beautiful polish :)

  12. Another gorgeous gradient mani from you!!!! I very much like the original version but did not buy it since this kind of gold turns my hands not pink but scarlett and that's too much to take. I ordered though the new version and am totally happy with it :-)
